Contamination of industrial lubricant -deterioration of its physicochemical properties- is considered the main cause of malfunction and deterioration of components, systems and lubricated equipment. In fact, it is present throughout the entire lubrication chain; from lubricant storage through to the operation of the equipment.
Avoiding contamination requires, initially, being aware of the negative effect on the health of the lubricant and subsequently monitoring and prevent such contamination using appropriate devices.
To avoid contamination filters must be used that retain the contaminant and enable the optimal levels of lubricant to be reached, such as dry filters or in-line filtration, which help control the entry of moisture and particles.
