he Basque Country Minister for Economic Development and Competitiveness, Arantxa Tapia, this morning in Bilbao inaugurated the fifth edition of the LUBMAT 2016 International Conference, one of the most distinguished European meetings in the area of industrial lubrication, tribology, advanced maintenance and reliability of production equipment.
The conference, which is organised by the IK4-TEKNIKER Basque Country Technological Centre and the British Institute of the University of Lancashire Jost Institute for Tribotechnology, is taking place today and tomorrow in the Palacio Euskalduna in the Basque Country capital.
Industrial lubrication management and advanced maintenance techniques on equipment are essential components for guaranteeing the correct operation and extending the operational life of machinery, which makes this discipline essential for the current industry.
The capture and analysis of data from industrial processes is one of the pillars for developing Industry 4.0, the new scenario for industrial manufacturing based on the use of advanced information and communication technologies in production environments.
